Sacred Heart University Students volunteer at Hall Neighborhood House in Bridgeport at an afterschool program every Wednesday. Each week Sacred Heart volunteers help student’s grades 5-8 with their homework and studies. Once the students finish their homework our sacred heart volunteers assist them in various sports activities such as tennis, ping pong, and basketball. The after school program is ran by Miss Rachel, a loving, caring, busy women who designed the program to be more than just academics. The program focuses academics, social skills, and wellness. Both Sacred Heart University volunteers and Bridgeport students enjoy hanging out and having fun while being active.
